International Speakers Fund (member) The International Speakers Fund facilitates exchange of Society speakers among member countries and helps to unite women educators of the world. Emergency Fund (member) Gifts assist members who have sustained major losses from floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and other natural catastrophic disasters. The chapter president notifies the state president who notifies the Executive Director at International. The $500 gift is made as the need arises. The form is available at: www.dkg.org. International Scholarships (member) The number of scholarships awarded annually is based on available funding. Possibilities: $6,000 international scholarships for graduate study and $10,000 if pursuing a doctorate. An applicant for a $6,000 scholarship must be an active member for a minimum of one (1) year at the time of application; an applicant for a $10,000 scholarship must be an active member for minimum of three (3) years at the time of application. An applicant must provide evidence of active participation and leadership in Delta Kappa Gamma, and may not have received an International Scholarship previously. Lucile Cornetet Awards for Professional Development (member and non-member) Cornetet Individual Awards for Professional Development (CIPD) are available to all employed educators who meet the stated criteria. The application process is competitive. A varying number of awards are made in varying amounts. Awards will fund participation in conferences, seminars, lecture series, National certification, online courses, workshops and other non-degree programs. Awards may fund travel, lodging, meals, pay for substitutes, registration, fees, etc. The awards (money) given to individual educators assists their participation in professional development opportunities through approved professional development providers such as colleges, universities, and professional organizations other than The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Educational Project Award (member and nonmember) Educational Project Awards may be applied for to support and encourage projects. The project must comply with one or more of the following Purposes and the Mission Statement, to
support and encourage intercultural understanding,
encourage standards of excellence in education, and/or
assist and cooperate with schools, colleges, universities and other persons, organizations, trust funds, or foundations in support, encouragement, and improvement of education

World Fellowship Grants (nonmember) World Fellowship grants are awarded at the international level to non-member women educators who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America or Canada. These grants provide opportunities for extended communication and understanding through study in the U.S. and Canada, and 1097 women from numerous countries have received over $3,924,350 in World Fellowship grants. www.dkg.org (Click on DKGIEF for brochure.)
Educators Book Award (nonmember) The Educators Book Award ($2,500.00) is given annually for a book written by one or two women who are citizens of any country in which the Society is organized and whose book may influence the direction of thought and action to meet the needs of today’s complex society; furthermore, the content must be of more than local interest with relationship, direct or implied, to education everywhere. www.dkg.org (Click on DKGIEF for brochure.)
Golden Gift Fund (member) The Golden Gift Fund offers professional life-changing leadership management seminars. The Leadership Management Seminar is held in coordination with staff and faculty at the Mc Combs School of Business at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. Illinois State Organization (ILSO) Scholarship Brochure Special Study Stipend Brochure All applications must be submitted electronically and can be found on the state website www.deltakappagamma.org/IL Scholarships/Special Studies Stipends Illinois State offers scholarships and stipends to members based upon the availability of funds in the scholarship funds. The number of scholarships/stipends is recommended to the Executive Board at the state convention. Scholarships and stipends are given the following categories:
For one academic year of full-time foreign or domestic study
For a minimum of twelve semester hours of foreign or domestic study (may be full-time or part-time) to be completed in one year
For a minimum of six semester hours of course work during the academic year or summer term following the state convention
For financial support to develop skills which promote professional and personal growth.
To qualify for a state scholarship, the member must meet certain criteria such as she shall have completed three years of membership in Illinois State. There are special scholarship such as the Dr. Emma Reinhardt Scholarship that is awarded to a member who has shown outstanding service to Delta Kappa Gamma and the Emilie U. Lepthien Scholarship for a member studying school administration. The William Charles Iwert and Elizabeth J. Iwert Scholarship is awarded to a member pursuing a planned program for graduate study leading to a degree or certificate in education and up to $2500 for three semesters hours may be awarded.

Lambda State Foundation for Educational Studies, Inc. (member) Brochure The Illinois State Foundation for Educational Studies, Inc. exists to provide financial assistance to Illinois State chapters, individual members, or coordinating councils in Illinois State to support research and projects designed to improve the quality of education of students in Illinois. The amount of the stipend will vary and shall be determined by the Foundation Board. Stipends will be awarded as determined by the income available in the Illinois State Foundation Fund. Illinois State Grant-in-Aid (nonmember) The Grant-in-Aid is awarded to a full-time Illinois female college/university student who is pursuing a degree in any field of study. The recipient must also be an Illinois resident. The recipient must be a present or former chapter recruitment grant or grant-in-aid recipient. Only one application per chapter may be submitted. The recipient is awarded a maximum of $2,000 for one year of college work. Application (available on the state website) must be electronically submitted by February 1. M. Josephine O’Neil Arts Award (nonmember) The Women-in-the-Arts Fund presents the M. Josephine O’Neil Arts Award biennially to a female college student(s) studying in one or more fields of the arts. The applicant must be approaching her junior year at an accredited college or university or be a sophomore at an accredited community college. Other criteria can be obtained on the Women-in-the-Arts Webpage on the Illinois State website. A maximum of $10,000 is awarded biennially.
